Aging is like a long shopping trip. Over the years, you pick up great items and get better at it. In time, your bags crumple and crease. Some tear. And, things begin to fall out everywhere.

That’s how much you’ve picked up. That’s how full your bags are.

There’s even a lot missing from what you’ve collected – mistakes you never made twice and history you made sure never to repeat.

The best thing is that, eventually, you turn to someone younger and stronger, and say, “Here, take what you need. I have so much.”

That person, then, continues their trip blessed with more and finer than you ever had.

And the cycle keeps improving.

So, for all its apparent lack of power, age fuels progress. It’s not the beginning of the end. It’s the beginning of better.
